With State Farm’s support, Habitat for Humanity International offers grants and awards to qualified affiliates, Youth United groups and campus chapters throughout the year.

Campus Chapter State Farm Matching Grant
For the seventh year, Habitat for Humanity and State Farm are partnering to offer the Campus Chapter State Farm Matching Grant. State Farm has offered four $10,000, six $5,000, and six $2,000 matching grants. The matching grant funds can be used for rehab and A Brush with Kindness projects as well as house sponsorships.

In addition to the matching grants, groups may also apply for a Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative bonus grant; three bonus grants of $1,000 will be awarded based on the project described. Groups must apply for and receive a matching grant to be eligible for a bonus grant.

Youth United State Farm Matching Grant
For the seventh year, Habitat for Humanity and State Farm are partnering to offer the Youth United State Farm Matching Grant. State Farm has offered three $10,000 matching grants, five $4,000 matching grants, and two $2,000 (start-up) matching grants. The matching grant funds can be used for rehab and A Brush with Kindness projects as well as house sponsorships.

In addition to the matching grants, groups may also apply for one of three bonus grants of $1,000. The bonus grants are to be used for rehab projects. Groups must apply for and receive a matching grant to be eligible for a bonus grant.

State Farm Disaster Services Grant
The 2013 State Farm Disaster Services Grant provides the opportunity for U.S. affiliates and youth to become engaged in the process of recovering and rebuilding from a disaster.

Affiliates and youth groups can apply for up to $20,000 in funds to aid recovery and rebuilding efforts in their community. Projects range from new home construction to critical home repairs and disaster cleanup.

Along with each recovery and rebuilding project, Youth Programs encourages award winners to communicate the importance of disaster preparedness, as this is the first step towards safety and community stability. Youth are a crucial component of disaster preparedness and recovery efforts; the ability to educate and mobilize youth ensures the stability and longevity of a community.

Grant applications are accepted on a rolling basis and will be reviewed quarterly until all funds are distributed. Projects must be completed six months after grant funds have been dispersed.

What projects can the funds support?

State Farm Disaster Services funds can go toward a variety of recovery and rebuilding projects. All projects must in response to of a disaster that affected the community.

What are the grant deadlines?

Grant applications are reviewed on a quarterly basis. Funds will be dispersed each quarter until all grant funding is awarded.

If your affiliate would like to apply for the Disaster Services Grant but you don’t feel you have the capacity to distribute funds consider apply for aid for Disaster Corps, Habitat’s Disaster response volunteer service.
