Homeowner Youth Essay Contest
Every day at Habitat for Humanity, we are touched by the stories of our homeowners and partner families. Our 2008 Homeowner Youth Essay Contest gave the children of Habitat homeowners an opportunity to share their stories.

Homeowner youth ages 8 to 25 were asked to share: “What my Habitat home means to me.” Read the winning essays.

2009–2010 Youth United Urban Grants
Habitat for Humanity Youth Programs and State Farm® are pleased to offer five $10,000 Youth United Urban Grants for 2009–2010. The grant provides funds for Youth United seed money, advocacy outreach, travel scholarships and staff. Learn more about Youth United Urban grants.

All urban Habitat affiliates (those with a service area of 500,000 people or more) are eligible. Urban Habitat affiliates who would like to start a Youth United group are welcome to apply, though preference is given to those with existing Youth United programs.

Grant applications are due May 15, 2009.
