How you can help Advocate! Write a letter, make a phone call or send an e-mail to your state senators and representative. Ask them to support an increase in international development assistance funding. Habitat for Humanity International recommends increasing poverty-focused development assistance by $6 billion in fiscal year 2008. Team members work alongside members of the host community, raising awareness of the burden of poverty housing and building decent, affordable housing worldwide. The Global Village Youth Program gives groups of youth ages 14 to 25 opportunities to build throughout the world with Habitat for Humanity.
