How does Habitat for Humanity partner with AmeriCorps?

Habitat for Humanity partners with the Corporation for National and Community Service to place AmeriCorps members at local Habitat offices and partner organizations.

As a Habitat AmeriCorps member, you will have the opportunity to serve in a variety of roles to help us operate more efficiently and effectively to serve more families.

What types of service opportunities are available?

We offer service opportunities in community engagement, construction crew leadership, volunteer leadership, resource development and new program development.

Habitat AmeriCorps National
You can serve directly with Habitat volunteers, families and community members.

Habitat AmeriCorps VISTA
You can build long-term solutions to poverty with human, financial and material resources.

Our requirements to serve

You must be a U.S. citizen, national or lawful permanent resident at least 18 or older and have a high school diploma or GED. Each site may have specific requirements related to their positions which will be noted on the position descriptions.
