Alumni Council for the Habitat AmeriCorps Alumni Association
We connect our Habitat AmeriCorps alumni community by gathering input, providing feedback and assisting with our design, implementation and continuous improvement of our Habitat AmeriCorps Alumni Association.
We work with our staff liaisons from our Youth Programs team, as well as our National Service team, to provide our alumni perspective on program development.
Our alumni council offers a great opportunity for professional and leadership development. We give our alumni the chance to shape and develop the Habitat AmeriCorps Alumni Association. We also give our alumni the chance to shape and develop the resources and programming offered to our Habitat AmeriCorps alumni community.
Our alumni council representatives
Our council consists of eight to 12 representatives of the Habitat AmeriCorps alumni community, including current members and alumni representing the diverse range of National Service programs. Our council also includes staff from Habitat for Humanity International who have input in decisions but aren't voting members.
Our council representatives will serve two-year terms, starting in October, with an option for a one-year renewal. Our representatives serve on committees which are determined by our council as needs change. Our representatives to our council can also run for an office position, including chairperson and vice chairperson. Our meetings will consist of monthly conference calls and one annual in-person meeting.
