Learn and Build Experience

Help provide a foundation for families to build a better life for themselves. In the process make new friends, discover a new community and learn how you can make an impact in the world.

Build, learn and live together in a community setting

Learn and Build Experience trips open up a new world through hands-on educational and community activities as participants serve Habitat’s mission of creating a world where everyone has a decent place to live. From raising the walls of a new house to small group discussions, there’s no limit to your Habitat impact.

Please note that the Learn and Build Experience is taking a pause for 2017 and returning in 2018.

We’re grateful for the long-standing support of our sponsor and from committed volunteers who helped us serve more than 70 homeowners during the last 20 years.

An update will be provided in fall 2017. In the meantime, you can support the cause of affordable housing through one of these volunteer programs:

Global Village

Travel to a new country and immerse yourself in the local culture through these short-term work trips. A variety of projects are available, from new home construction in Hawaii, working with vulnerable populations in Zambia, creating healthy homes in Guatemala, or completing a water and sanitation community development project in the Philippines.

Collegiate Challenge

Impact communities in the United States by signing up with four or more of your friends to organize a trip. You can serve during your spring break or another week during 2017. Opportunities for the spring and summer are posted online.
