Three new members join Habitat for Humanity International’s board of directors

ATLANTA (March 3, 2015) Habitat for Humanity International recently elected three new members to its board of directors: David Fischer, president and CEO of Greif Inc.; Robert (Bo) Miller, co-founder and principal of NightFire Advisors; and Ramez Sousou, founder and co-CEO of TowerBrook Capital Partners.

David Fischer is the president and CEO of Greif Inc., a U.S.-based manufacturer of industrial packaging. In addition to Habitat, he is a board member of Greif Inc.; Balchem Corp.; Ingredion Inc.; The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center; and the Zanmi Beni Foundation. He has also served on the board of the Institute of International Education. Fischer received a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University.

Bo Miller is the co-founder and principal of NightFire Advisors, a corporate citizenship and social venture consulting firm. He was previously the global director of Corporate Citizenship for The Dow Chemical Company – a partner of Habitat for more than 30 years. Miller also served as the president and executive director of The Dow Chemical Company Foundation. Prior to joining Habitat’s board of directors, Miller worked with Habitat for Humanity Michigan on a multiyear, statewide affordable housing campaign and served on advisory boards supporting The Clinton Global Initiative; The Center for Responsible Business at University of California, Berkeley; the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation; Corporate Citizenship Center; and the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship. Miller holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial marketing from Western Michigan University and has completed executive management curriculums at Indiana University and the University of Virginia.

Ramez Sousou is the founder and co-CEO of TowerBrook Capital Partners, an international investment firm operating in the U.S. and Europe. Before starting his own firm, Sousou was co-head of Soros Private Equity and a member of the management committee for Soros Fund Management. He is also a board member of Alpha International, the U.S. Middle East Project, the William Wilberforce Trust, The Lambeth Trust and The American School in London. Sousou earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Habitat’s board of directors is responsible for establishing policy and guiding the organization’s efforts to construct, rehabilitate, repair, improve and advocate for housing in partnership with low-income families in more than 70 countries around the world. Habitat board members volunteer for two-year terms that can be renewed up to four times.
