Save the Date: Habitat for Humanity International hosts Twitter Party on Nov. 14 to kick off 2012 Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project

Join Habitat for Humanity on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. EST for a Twitter party. In anticipation of this year’s Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project in Haiti, we will discuss what it takes to build strong and vibrant communities. Now is your chance to join the conversation and find out how this work is being done — in Haiti and around the world.

The chat will be moderated by Jennifer James, founder of Mom Bloggers for Social Good (@SocialGoodMoms). During the chat, Habitat representatives will share firsthand information about our ongoing efforts in Haiti, and you’ll be able to learn more about how you can help make a difference!

Last year in Haiti, President and Mrs. Carter, who are Habitat’s most famous volunteers, led an effort to build 100 homes in Léogâne in partnership with families left homeless by the 7.0-magnitude earthquake. This November, the Carters return with nearly 600 volunteers to build 100 additional homes.

Sign up for the party today. When you register, you will have an opportunity to submit suggested questions for the discussion, as well as to receive updates leading up to the party.

Here’s how to participate:
1. Sign in to Twitter, TweetDeck or TweetChat. The chat moderators usually use TweetChat since it adds the hashtag automatically and allows for easy replies and retweets.
2. Follow us on Twitter at @Habitat_org, and tweet with the hashtag #HabitatinHaiti.
