The International Day of Prayer and Action for Human Habitat
The International Day of Prayer and Action for Human Habitat engages the entire faith community in a dedicated time of prayer and reflection for those in need of shelter.
The event concludes Habitat for Humanity’s annual celebration of our faith partnerships, Building on Faith.
Acting as instruments of service
The Day of Prayer began in 1983 to make housing a matter of conscience. The intent was to place in the hearts, minds and souls of people everywhere the idea that poverty housing is unacceptable.
Prayer provides an opportunity to keep faith at the center of a call to service and justice.
