  Cyclone Nargis leaves 1 million homeless in Myanmar
A powerful cyclone hit the country of Myanmar on May 3, leaving an estimated 1 million people homeless, with some villages destroyed. Habitat for Humanity is assembling a technical team to partner with other organizations to support long-term shelter reconstruction efforts in the devastated country.



National Women Build Week -- May 4-10, 2008

Home Builders Blitz 2008, May 31 - June 7
Building industry professionals come together for 2nd national homebuilding industry event. 110 Habitat affiliates throughout 34 states to take part in Home Builders Blitz 2008, building more than 250 homes to house over 1,000 people.
