Raise awareness:

Advocate:

  • Ask ReStore shoppers to sign up to receive online advocacy alerts at habitat.org/takeaction
  • Designate an advocacy liaison by emailing liaison@habitat.org. Advocacy liaisons receive important legislative updates and tools to help facilitate local advocacy activities, participate in bimonthly conference calls and give critical feedback to HFHI about how to better serve affiliates in their advocacy
  • Encourage your supporters to help us tell the U.S. Congress that land tenure remains an enormous roadblock to rebuilding. Ask them to send this letter
  • Send your staff to Habitat on the Hill, Habitat’s annual legislative conference each February in Washington, D.C. Habitat on the Hill is your chance to gain valuable advocacy knowledge and speak directly to your members of Congress about your concerns
