‘In Their Own Words: Oklahoma’

On the front lines of a massive cleanup effort, Habitat leaders and volunteers share their thoughts on rebuilding “Oklahoma strong.”

Ann Felton, CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Central Oklahoma, is ready for the challenge: “We want to help as many people as we can.”

Linda Banta, executive director of Habitat of Cleveland County, sees great need everywhere. “Every time I look around at the devastation, it’s just unreal.”

Naomi Malts, a volunteer, feels blessed to help with the cleanup. It’s “the best feeling in the world,” she said, “knowing that you helped someone.”

Volunteer Tom Jong sees the good amid devastation: “It’s so heartwarming to see all the people pitching in and helping out.”

Please donate now to help families recover from disasters such as the recent devastating tornadoes in Texas and Oklahoma. Your support is critical. Thank you.
