Habitat World
again received hundreds of entries for this year’s photo contest that concluded July 8, 2011. Several rounds of judging pared the entries down to our ultimate winner and four additional finalists.

We are pleased to announce that this year’s winning photographer is Chris Sebilia, from Austin, Texas. As the contest winner, he will receive a spot as a volunteer at the 2011 Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project in Haiti this fall.

Sebilia’s winning photograph will also be featured in the December issue of Habitat World, along with an essay from him detailing the picture and the Habitat experience it captured.

We will also include photos and essays from our four other finalists: Adam Nelson, Cincinnati, Ohio; Jessica Notargiacomo, Gaithersburg, Maryland; Eric Rudd, Bloomington, Indiana; and Pi-Lin Vuong, Toronto.

We look forward to showcasing all our finalists in the December issue of Habitat World. Thanks to all those who submitted!
