Bringing partners together around the world
In April, the second Housing Forum Europe & Central Asia was co-organized by Habitat for Humanity International, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and the United Nations’ Development Programme, Economic Commission for Europe and Human Settlements Programme.
In May, Habitat Honduras hosted the International Forum on Public Policy and Access to Housing, sharing their successful advocacy of 20 local governments for policies that create better access to adequate housing.
In October, 700 delegates are expected to attend the fourth Asia-Pacific Housing Forum, themed “Housing as a Foundation for Breaking the Poverty Cycle.”
Such forums are, says Habitat Europe, Middle East and Africa area vice president Greg Foster, “the ideal way to bring like-minded people together to share, to dream and to create ways to address housing issues.”
