As the former host of the acclaimed home improvement shows “This Old House” and “Renovation Nation,” Steve is recognized as the “ultimate home enthusiast” and an expert on the home renovation process.

A much-in-demand speaker and home renovator, Steve advocates for greener building/renovation techniques.

Steve’s work with Habitat
Steve first began covering Habitat for Humanity’s work in 1991, when he joined hundreds of volunteers to help build affordable homes in partnership with low-income families in Miami as part of the Carter Work Project.  He continued to be a regular contributor and volunteer.

Since officially partnering with us in late 2011, Steve has joined us at several events, including the Homebuilder’s Blitz, AmeriCorps’ Build-A-Thon, the World Habitat Day Design Challenge and in construction of our milestone 500,000th house.
