The Carpenter’s Gift
A Christmas tale about the Rockefeller Center Tree

Written by children’s historian David Rubel in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity, and illustrated by Jim LaMarche, “The Carpenter’s Gift” celebrates the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center, an American tradition. Each year, the tree is milled into lumber that Habitat for Humanity uses to build a simple, decent home with a family in need.

CMT One Country
Never Underestimate the Power of One.

What if every man, woman and child served their community in their own small way? What if each of us did something that would make life just a little bit easier for our neighbor or add a tiny bit of joy to someone's day?

That is what CMT One Country is all about: connecting you to ways to take action and bring about positive change in your community. We even offer you additional rewards for your efforts as a volunteer! CMT One Country celebrates the accomplishments of everyday heroes and showcases nonprofit partners that are working to keep America great. We believe that every individual truly has the power of one.

Ricky Martin Foundation
The Ricky Martin Foundation and Habitat for Humanity partnership began when Ricky Martin dedicated his time and resources to help Habitat respond to the devastating 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.

Today, the partnership continues with the formation of the RMFHaiti and RMFChile Recovery Funds. These funds are helping Habitat for Humanity’s rebuilding efforts in Haiti and Chile.

The Entertainment Industry Foundation’s multi-year campaign helps make service and volunteerism a national priority. The campaign aims to engage the entertainment industry with the work of nonprofit organizations.
