More than two million individuals impacted by Habitat for Humanity in Latin America and the Caribbean during 2019

From July 2018, to June 2019, with our work in Latin America and the Caribbean, we managed to impact the lives of 2,008,060 individuals along with the 37,046 volunteers, who donated their time and effort to build homes hand by hand with the allied families of our organization. We invite you to read the 2019 Latin America and the Caribbean Annual Report, which contains stories of the work that we do with families throughout the region, who, in alliance with us, worked to empower themselves with a decent and affordable home that changed their lives.

The report allows to know that families build their houses in a seven-stage process

Only in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho, in Lima, Peru, more than 95 thousand families live in a similar situation. This fact derives from the study performed by the Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter from Habitat.

Habitat teaches disaster-resilient construction methods in the Caribbean

Unfortunately, it is the people who live in the places with the greatest poverty, who are often harmed the most. Facebook rewards initiative of Habitat and Red Cross

Through the new Facebook Community Leadership Program (FCLP), the Participatory Approach for Safe Shelter and Settlements Awareness, PASSA Youth, developed by Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) and the International Federation of the Red Cross (IFRC), was selected to receive support, tools and funds of an approximate value of up to USD $ 50,000.
