Responsibilities include:
Financial Management*Ensure the day to day accounting operations and financial management functions are performed in accordance to HFHI policies and procedures.*Review and account for procurement transactions to ensure adequate supporting documentation, accuracy of amounts and control over payment*Review and approve international funding requests based upon a national organization’s ability to financially and programmatically comply with Habitat’s minimum standards; oversee the tracking and reporting of the global funding processes*Ensure timely and accurate generation of reports *Present and facilitate review of actual to budget expenditures *Monitor audit reports and monitor progress on items listed in the management report*Notify Area Management Team of non-compliance issues *Research, compile and train AP national and international staff on best practices in financial accounting*Coordinate the development and monitoring of the area office and annual plan and budget*Participate in and/or leads work groups focused on GAAP financial accounting/reporting and policies/procedures
IT and Administrative Support*Oversee the provision of IT support and system maintenance*Manage the area office administrative, accounting and IT department staff*Monitor and report administrative issues/information with respective departments
