Job Description
Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking a seasoned and creative professional for the position of Brand Strategy and Marketing Manager. This manager will work closely with the director and communications team to build and protect the Habitat for Humanity brand by reinforcing brand compliance internally and externally, expanding awareness to new audiences of the Habitat mission and developing 360° marketing initiatives that grow brand equity, donations and volunteer engagement. The position will be located in Atlanta, GA.
Key responsibilities include:
INTEGRATED MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS:
*Serving as a consultant to internal clients, through creation and execution of integrated marketing communications plans for Habitat programs, projects and events.
*Supporting external clients, the Habitat affiliates, by creating and teaching effective marketing resources, reviewing and consulting on marketing opportunities that promote the brand locally.
*Assisting the director with implementing global marketing directives including advertising, PSA campaigns and brand ambassador engagement plans.
*Collaborating with public relations and new media staff to execute social media strategies.
*Collaborating with fundraising staff to maximize corporate partner exposure and donor experience.
*Collaborating with various internal programs to promote and enhance the Habitat volunteer experience.
*Providing event project management or support for HFHI special events and partnership marketing opportunities, including signage plans, logistics and marketing.
BRAND MARKETING AND MANAGEMENT:
*Working with the brand strategy and special initiatives team to develop and execute the overall branding plan for the organization including:
-Performing competitive analysis and analysis of consumer marketing research and insights.
-Developing brand guidelines (internal and external) and reference tools.
-Ensuring proper and consistent use of the Habitat logo.
-Creating and conducting brand education workshops.
-Monitoring internal and external brand compliance through quality assurance processes.
-Safeguarding alignment of brand positioning, messaging and overall brand objectives including review of internal and external deliverables for brand voice and brand attributes.
-Helping ensure brand integration and understanding across all areas of the organization.
-Leveraging research results into actionable marketing and brand building initiatives.
-Leading cross-functional teams to apply brand strategies to all internal and external initiatives.
-Developing new insights into solutions that result in organizational improvements.
-Promoting a work environment that fosters creative thinking, innovation and rational risk-taking.
Job Requirements
*Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in brand management, public relations, communications or marketing; master’s degree preferred.
*6-8 years marketing experience, including 4 years directly in integrated marketing, brand management and stewardship.
*Ability to apply basic marketing concepts (e.g., brand positioning, SWOT Analysis, marketing objectives/strategies, consumer segmentation) used in the development of marketing plans.
*Experience developing strategic directives and tactics to build brand awareness.
*Experience developing and executing brand trainings.
*Experience creating and executing branding campaigns/product launches and knowledge of the creative brief development process.
*Experience with digital applications, including Web, Social Media, Mobile, and SEO as well as intermediate PowerPoint skills.
*Vendor and agency relationship management experience.
