Job Description

Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking an experienced professional to serve as the Gifts-In-Kind Officer.  Reporting to the Sr. Director – Supply Chain HFHI ReStore, the Gifts-In-Kind Officer will have a central role in ReStore support group gifts-in-kind development and logistics and carry primary gifts-in-kind and ReStore merchandise revenue quota responsibility in an assigned geographic territory. Specialized skills and depth of business knowledge are required in order to interact in an advisory capacity with senior executives in large corporations. This position will be based in Atlanta, GA and will travel up to 60%.

Job duties include:


*Define an overall development/sales strategy for the assigned region with specific action plans for each major business city and/or assigned industry. 

*Develop effective strategies to meet assigned individual gifts-in-kind and ReStore merchandise revenue goals by securing new-name partnerships and significant new commitments from existing partners. (A region represents roughly 7-10 states).
*Function as the primary executive liaison in all partnerships and alliances throughout the region.
*Remain actively engaged with partner senior executives in post-implementation phases and throughout the life of the partnership.
*Define strategies to expand HFHI's role in existing partnerships to maximize the return for both HFHI and partner.

*Provide complete and accurate activity/pipeline reports, revenue forecasts and situation analysis as required by the Senior Director.

*Lead the collaborative development efforts among HFHI entities and alliances within the assigned geographic territory.
*Establish strong relationships with affiliates and HFHI regional and program staff. 

*Conduct systematic and ongoing prospecting activities to maintain an adequate pipeline of potential partnerships in assigned geographic territory.
*Proactively seek out networking opportunities and establish relationships with business and community leaders in major metropolitan areas.
*Write compelling proposals and oversee the development of creative presentations and reports.
*Present partnership proposals to senior executives to secure large, long-term commitments for gifts-in-kind and ReStore merchandise.
*Develop successful closing strategies and negotiate partnership agreements to protect HFHI interests and meet long term partner business needs.


About Habitat for Humanity ReStores: ReStores sell new and gently-used home improvement goods, furniture, home accessories, building materials and appliances to the public at a fraction of the retail price. The proceeds are used by our local Habitat for Humanity affiliates to help build and renovate more homes and communities.

Job Requirements

*Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, communications or other related field.
*8-10 years of experience in corporate sales and/or sales management OR formal management consulting experience OR relevant senior management experience in one or more of the following areas:
1) General management with significant P&L responsibility.
2) Organizational development, human resources.
3) Marketing, advertising, public relations, corporate communications.
4) Community affairs, nonprofit relationships management.

*Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
*Proficient in all MS Office applications.
*Willing and able to travel up to 60%.
