Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking a talented graphic designer to join our award-winning design team. Reporting to the Manager, Graphic Design, this individual will work with a variety of internal clients to produce a wide array of digital and print materials that support our mission to eliminate poverty housing. This position will be based at our operational headquarters in Americus, GA.
Key responsibilities include:
*Working with internal clients to conceptualize and create print and electronic visual materials to be used as educational, promotional and fund-raising vehicles for Habitat for Humanity.
*Translating ideas into creative, effective and cost-efficient solutions through traditional and new-media design.
*Working with our internal print shop and external vendors to produce a variety of quality print pieces and merchandise.
*Serving as a member of a team that plays a key role in defining the visual image of Habitat for Humanity.
*Maintaining and understanding and practical application of Habitat’s brand standards.
*5+ years of professional graphic design experience.
*Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field.
*Expertise in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
*Advanced skills in layout and print production with keen attention to design and typography.
*Excellent communication skills.
*Ability to work on a team and independently as well as multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
*Must be able to produce a strong portfolio (preferably online).
*Experience working with brand, identity and style guides.
*Illustration, photography, animation, video production, web design, HTML, Java script or other related skills.
*Knowledge of design for international audiences.
*Strong portfolio is equally important as professional experience.
