NC, Statesville - Habitat ReStore Manager

Job Description
Habitat for Humanity of Iredell County is seeking a service driven individual to lead and manage the Habitat ReStore. Gross sales in the 22,125 sq. ft. retail store totaled $391,586 last year. We believe and are committed to improving those numbers significantly and are looking for someone who has the skills and desire to do the same.
The Habitat for Humanity of Iredell County ReStore Manager is responsible for all aspects of daily management. This includes fiscal, personnel and inventory management as well as employee, customer and public relations. The Habiatat ReStore director works closely with the executive director to insure proper, safe and profitable operation of the Habitat ReStore.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good computer knowledge, particularly in MS Word and Excel as well as email programs.
- Excellent knowledge of retail operations.
- Ability to work well with others.

Education/experience
- Associate or bachelor degree in business field preferred.
- High school diploma required.
- Prior successful retail managerial experience.
Supervision
This position reports directly to the executive drector. This position supervises assigned Habitat ReStore staff.
Physical requirements
- May require standing for long periods of time.
- May require moderate lifting.
- May require driving trucks.
Schedule
This is a full-time, salaried position. This position is exempt from the FLSA. The Habitat ReStore director works a schedule as defined by the executive director.
General responsibilities
- Opening and closing of the store.
- Managing register cash drawer and petty cash.
- Making recommendations as to hiring/termination of staff members.
- Conducting regular personnel reviews.
- Computing payroll.
- Keeping of daily/monthly/yearly financial records.
- Advertising and marketing of Habitat ReStore.
- Ensuring the premises is safe for customers and employees throughout the day.
- Managing staff including scheduling, work projects, and employee relations.
- Assuring customer concerns are addressed in a timely, kind and professional manner.
- Working with Volunteer Coordinator concerning volunteers and community service personnel.
- Securing all supplies needed for store operation.
- Expanding donor base by actively seeking new donors and nurturing existing resources.
- Assisting executive director with annual budget.
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned by the executive director.
