Job Description

Job summary/duties: This position is responsible for administering both the volunteer and family services programs for Atlantic County Habitat for Humanity.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment, retention, scheduling and coordination of workgroups, individual volunteers and partner families. 
  • Monitoring program effectiveness through evaluation instruments leading to recommendations for program enhancement and improvement. 
  • Coordination of special events including sponsor and or blitz builds by recruiting volunteers, construction and administration personnel and the general public. 
  • Help develop new ways to engage both construction and non-construction volunteers from the communities, which we serve.  
  • They will also maintain the affiliate’s volunteer tracking system.
  • Help recruit partner families and gather appropriate paperwork for their application. 
  • Develop and manage application orientation events, track sweat equity hours and work with partner families about upcoming classes, events and volunteer opportunities. 
  • Provide staff support for family services committees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Reporting to: Executive director

Interactions: Employee interacts with others to exchange information, discover opinions, ideas and concerns, as well as resolve moderately complex problems in accordance with established policies and procedures without close supervision.

Policy level impact: Position follows existing policies and procedures, position is accountable for administering and interpreting established policies, position is accountable for developing, receiving approval, communicating, implementing and evaluating new or revised policies.
