Habitat for Humanity International is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. The purpose and goal of Habitat for Humanity International is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat invites people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build houses in partnership with families in need.
Habitat for Humanity has an Operational Headquarters in Americus, Georgia and an Administrative Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, and is a global, non-profit ministry where our employees build futures and lives.
Job Description
Habitat for Humanity International is looking for enthusiastic people to donate their expertise to assist our reconstruction crew with maintenance work on the various Habitat-owned buildings.
This position is located in Americus, Georgia at our Operational headquarters, and is a perfect opportunity to not only help those in need, but to gain valuable experience in construction/renovations, as well as serving at a non profit.
Qualified individuals can receive a small living allowance as well as free housing.
Job Requirements
- Must be wiling to serve for at least 3-6 months, and successfully complete a background check.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be able to work in the United States.
- Experience with construction, plumbing, and electrical background a plus.
