Habitat for Humanity of Berkeley County

Job function: Accounting/financial/mortgage servicing
Entry level: Potentially

Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree

Job description:

The financial manager reports to the executive director, works with other department managers and communicates with board president and board treasurer frequently. They are the sole accounting/ finance employee and depended on heavily by the affiliate to take care of all accounting, finance and mortgage servicing duties.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Accounting.
  • GAAP compliance.
  • Financial reporting.
  • Budgeting.
  • Mortgage servicing.
  • Delinquency management.
  • Payroll.
  • Payables.
  • Human resources.
  • Insurance management.

Job requirements:

Education and experience:

  • Must have degree in accounting, finance or an equivalent. Will take experience in lieu of degree.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience is preferred in addition to education.
  • At minimum, a general knowledge of QuickBooks or other accounting software.
