Job Description
Habitat for Humanity International (HFH) is seeking a Senior Specialist – Strategic Planning. Reporting to the Senior Director- Strategic Planning, the Senior Specialist – Strategic Planning serves to dynamically support the development, implementation and monitoring of the HFH global strategic plan. This position is an integral part of the Strategic Plan Realization Team (SRT) and works closely with all the HFHI global divisions.
Key responsibilities:
*Drive the development, continual improvement and ongoing reporting of Strategic Objective Scorecards, including versions for HFHI leadership, board of directors (IBOD) and public versions.
*Drive the continual improvement, training, day to day support and ongoing reporting of the divisional objectives for all divisions of HFHI.
*Drive the continual improvement, training, day to day support and ongoing reporting of the strategic initiatives, including charters, implementation plans, SLT dashboards and IBOD reporting.
*Provide project management support for the SRT.
*Collect, analyze and create presentations of quantitative and qualitative data to support the work of the SRT (Strategy development, business planning and change management).
*Develop, use and provide training of tools, processes, and best practices associated the work of the SRT (Strategy development, business planning and change management).
*Facilitate workshops, create presentations and conduct 1:1 engagement with Sr. and Middle Management for the work described in the job description.
*Support the development of regular communications with global stakeholders, including the intranet website.
*Be a dynamic contributing member of the SRT as its scope changes.
Job Requirements
*Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or MPA highly preferred
*1 or more years of relevant work experience
*Ability to interface with and provide excellent service to all levels of the organization (Sr. leaders, middle management in both the US and Internationally)
*Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment and respond quickly to changing conditions.
*Must be well-organized, detailed oriented, and able to work well both independently and in a team environment.
*Excellent time management and communication (written & verbal) skills
*Advanced knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint and a general comfort level working with technology systems (SharePoint Teamsites, website design and online meeting software, etc.)
*Ability to think strategically about complex problems and propose solutions
*Ability to perform high level analysis
*Project management experience
*A commitment to community service and nonprofits.
*Experience with HFH highly preferred
*Experience with setting up and administering Sr. Management reporting highly preferred
*Experience in producing PowerPoint presentation for Sr. Leaders preferred
*Experience with International development preferred
*Experience with strategic planning, business planning and change management preferred
*Knowledge of change management via education or experience preferred
