Sr. Manager, International Grant Accounting

Job Description
As the Sr. Manager of International Grant Accounting, you would be based out of our administrative headquarters in Atlanta or out of our satellite office in Washington, D.C. You would be responsible for performing site visits, completing testing for internal controls, reporting on findings to senior leadership, and coordinating and supporting the OMB A-133 audit. As a key member of our Grants and Donor Reporting team, you would provide guidance, training and supervision to grant accountants to ensure Habitat’s compliance with all government regulations. In addition, you will manage the day-to-day grant compliance financial operations of US and International programs, assuring collaboration, communication and coordination with other headquarters functions.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Oversee grant compliance and financial accounting operations for HFHI US and International programs
• Develop and continually enhance finance systems, including policies, procedures, practices, and information systems setting the standard to be best in the industry
• Ensure good controls for HFHI’s entire international grant accounting, compliance and reporting
• Ensure accurate, timely, efficient, and transparent accounting for all US and non-US government grants to HFHI and HFH branded entities that receive grants through HFHI
• Oversee and/or perform preparation, review and submission of grant drawdowns and financial reports as required for each grant
• Ensure financial compliance monitoring for grants/donations from all reportable donors
• Coordinate and support OMB A-133 Audit, grantors audit or monitoring site visit
• Provide guidance, training and supervision to grant accountants to ensure HFHI is in compliance with all government regulations
Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree required; CPA preferred 2. 6-10 years of experience in grant accounting, preferably with an international NGO 3. Reporting and monitoring experience with grants from US government agencies such as HUD, CNCS, USAID, etc., other government funding agencies, International donors and others 4. Experience in developing policies, procedures and business processes 5. Coordinating and supporting OMB A-133 Audit, grantors audit or monitoring site visit 6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills 7. Knowledge of USAID and other US government federal agencies federal grant requirements including rules and regulations 8. Training experience preferred
