Habitat for Humanity International is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. The purpose and goal of Habitat for Humanity International is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat invites people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build houses in partnership with families in need.

Job Description

Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Teton Area in beautiful Jackson, Wyo., seeks an executive director to fulfill our mission of building simple, decent homes in partnership with hardworking families in need. We are an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International.

Formed in 1995, we have completed 23 homes and currently have four under construction, which are due to be completed in spring 2013. We expect to build three to five homes annually on an opportunistic basis.

The executive director must function in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and is expected to manage all aspects of Habitat, including:

  • Land acquisition and fundraising.
  • Construction.
  • Manage eight employees.
  • The Habitat ReStore.
  • Lending.
  • Family selection, education and support.

Requirements:

  • A college degree.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Effective fundraising experience.
  • A belief in the mission of Habitat for Humanity.
