U.S. lawmakers on both sides of the aisle joined housing advocates from across the country this year at Habitat on the Hill, our annual U.S. legislative conference. Having experienced firsthand the challenges of living without adequate housing, lawmakers like Rep. Emanuel Cleaver II, D-Mo., shared his passion for Habitat’s policy priorities and how, by collectively using our voices, Americans can advance access to decent housing for all. Watch the video below to hear Cleaver’s remarks.

Rep. Cleaver shares his firsthand account of the importance of decent, adequate shelter with housing advocates at Habitat on the Hill 2015. Cleaver outlines the educational, financial and personal opportunities that a decent home provides.
