Friday found JCWP volunteers sweeping up, landscaping gardens and even hanging curtains in the newly finished houses. A mariachi band played in the streets as new homeowners celebrated with their new friends from around the world. There was dancing, singing, praying—and tears of joy flowed as lives changed for 150 families in Puebla and Veracruz.

Though the week has been full of hard work, sunburns and stretched muscles, it has proven to be a success for both the volunteers and the homeowners. "I am very happy with my house," says
Cecilia Ruiz Acevedo, homeowner of House #15 in Puebla. "The volunteers have been very detail-oriented. I am trustful in the work."

Cecilia looks around her finished house and smiles, "What can I say that I haven't said already? This work should continue. Habitat and its volunteers should do more. This project should keep going."
