Before moving into their Habitat house, Aida and Serafín Murillo and their two teenage children were living with Serafín’s parents. Then a friend from work told the Murillos about Habitat and the JCWP in Veracruz.
“Thanks to Habitat we will finally have a stable home; a decent, safe place to live,” says Aida. “We won’t have to move around and ask for a place to stay anymore. My experience with Habitat has given me hope. Before Habitat, we didn’t have the opportunity to have a home.”
“I’ve learned that miracles do exist,” she continues. “This has been a dream come true. I believe that through working with Habitat I will be able to set a good example for others. Those who see what I’m doing with Habitat will also believe that it’s possible to have a home of their own.”
