Corporate America: Helping Bring the Challenge Home Corporations are vital to the success of Habitat and each Jimmy Carter Work Project, as they provide much of the funding, manpower and materials that keep the work sites running. Companies large and small have made their own contributions to Habitat and past JCWP's and found the mutual benefits of getting involved in the mission to rid the world of poverty housing. "This year's project is especially unique in that a great many of our most generous and long-term corporate partners call Michigan home," says Paul Leonard, CEO of Habitat for Humanity International. "Their generous support, coupled with that of others from outside the state, promises to make this one of the most successful Jimmy Carter Work Projects ever." Without the leadership of corporations, who help Habitat increase its visibility and bring the challenge to contribute home to millions of would-be donors and volunteers, the Jimmy Carter Work Project would not have the scope and impact on poverty it does today.
