This initiative seeks to replace dirt floors with concrete floors in vulnerable homes across the region.
We focus on households with dirt or deteriorated floors, prioritizing those led by female heads of household with children under six, older adults, and people with disabilities. Together, we create dignified, safe spaces for a better future.
Creating positive impact in communities.
Leading companies in the region have joined the “100,000 Floors to Play On” initiative through their social responsibility programs, helping to drive meaningful change in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Turn your company’s social commitment into long-term transformational impact. Your company can make a difference.
A floor is resilience
Habitat for Humanity produced a report based on the findings of three evaluations carried out in our region: one quantitative impact study in the Dominican Republic and two qualitative assessments in Nicaragua and Guatemala.
The study highlights how installing concrete floors can significantly influence economic development, improve health and well-being, reduce school absenteeism, and increase children’s indoor playtime.
