A floor equals resilience

To generate greater evidence to demonstrate the benefits of concrete floors on people’s quality of life, Habitat for Humanity prepared this report based on the findings of three impact assessments conducted in our region: a quantitative impact assessment in the Dominican Republic and two qualitative assessments in Nicaragua and Guatemala.

100,000 Floors to Play On

In response, Habitat for Humanity, in partnership with the Inter-American Cement Federation (FICEM), launched “100,000 Floors to Play On” in 2022. This initiative seeks to replace dirt floors with concrete floors in vulnerable homes across the region.
