Un hombre y su hija en la puerta de una casa

Let’s open the door to 16 Voices of Habitat

A journey across our presence in Latin America and the Caribbean

The impact of the cause of
decent housing

Let’s open the door to volunteers, families, allies, community leaders, and collaborators who have worked alongside us to build a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

This is an intimate look into the lives of people and their connection to a greater cause.

16 voices of Habitat

  • Un hombre y su hija

After their home was destroyed by Hurricanes Eta and Iota, Manuel and his daughter moved through several temporary shelters until, with the support of Habitat for Humanity, they were able to access safe and decent housing. His story joins 16 other voices commemorating our 50th anniversary.

  • Un hombre frente a la puerta de una casa

Juan Pablo joins his voice from Guatemala to tell us about the dream he made come true for his mother: owning a home. His voice represents the families who, through their hard work, are able to build a house through our lending program.

  • Una mujer abre la puerta de una casa

Ángela Beatriz shares the story of how an improvement to her bathroom becomes an opportunity to protect the family legacy built by her father: the home where she lives with her mother and siblings. She is one of our 16 voices, speaking to us from Argentina.
