Get involved with the RV Care-A-Vanner program

There is no cost or commitment associated with becoming an RV Care-A-Vanner. It is as simple as contacting the HFHI RV office and having your name added to the RV Care-A-Vanners database. Once registered, you will begin receiving Care-A-Vanner, the program’s quarterly newsletter, which contains information about the program, the schedule of builds and ongoing building opportunities. You also will be eligible to sign up for RV Care-A-Vanners building projects.

To become an RV Care-A-Vanner, contact the RV coordinator at (800) 422-4828, Ext. 7534, or rvinfodesk@habitat.org. You will receive an RV Care-A-Vanners welcome packet confirming that you have been added to the database and you will begin receiving the quarterly newsletter. You may also sign up to receive monthly e-mail updates.

If any of your contact information — name, mailing address, telephone or e-mail address — changes, please notify the RV coordinator by e-mailing rvinfodesk@habitat.org.

Team leader training
The team leader training was a big success. Special thanks to Linda Walden and Lyn Laymon who conducted those trainings. We are in the process of reading evaluations to see how we can better serve you in the future. Volunteer in the RV Care-A-Vanners office
The RV Care-A-Vanners office welcomes volunteers willing to spend a few weeks to a few months assisting the RV coordinator with routine clerical and administrative tasks. It is a good way to learn more about the RV Care-A-Vanners program and to get an inside look at Habitat for Humanity International. There also are short-term outdoor volunteer opportunities with the Global Village & Discovery Center.

If interested in volunteering in the RV Care-A-Vanners office, before arriving please contact the RV coordinator at (800) 422-4828, Ext. 7534, or at rvinfodesk@habitat.org. If space is available, volunteers stay for free in the HFHI RV park, which is located a few blocks from the headquarters building.
