Habitat is urging Congress to take greater action to support housing stability and the nonprofit organizations that serve low-income families.

Impulsada por la visión de que cada persona merece un lugar digno para vivir, Hábitat para la Humanidad comenzó en 1976 como un movimiento de base en una granja comunitaria en el sur de Georgia, Estados Unidos.

Desde julio 2018, hasta junio 2019, con nuestro trabajo en América Latina y el Caribe, logramos cambiar positivamente la vida de 2.008.060 personas junto con los 37.046 voluntarios, quienes donaron su tiempo y esfuerzo para construir viviendas hombro a hombro con las familias aliadas a nuestra organización. Le invitamos a leer la Memoria Anual 2019 de Hábitat para la Humanidad América Latina y el Caribe, la cual guarda algunas historias del trabajo que realizamos junto a familias en toda la región, quienes al aliarse con Hábitat trabajaron para empoderarse con vivienda y cambiaron su realidad.

From July 2018, to June 2019, with our work in Latin America and the Caribbean, we managed to impact the lives of 2,008,060 individuals along with the 37,046 volunteers, who donated their time and effort to build homes hand by hand with the allied families of our organization. We invite you to read the 2019 Latin America and the Caribbean Annual Report, which contains stories of the work that we do with families throughout the region, who, in alliance with us, worked to empower themselves with a decent and affordable home that changed their lives.

Habitat CEO Jonathan Reckford joined leaders from the nation’s largest nonprofits on a phone call with President Trump, Vice President Mike Pence and Surgeon General Jerome Adams to urge them to prioritize the needs of low-income families and the organizations that serve them.

Siempre hemos creído que solo encontraremos nuestro camino si vamos juntos. Esto siempre ha sido una realidad y hoy, es aún más real.
