City National Bank renews partnership with Habitat for Humanity for a third year

ATLANTA (Jan. 25, 2022) City National Bank announced today that it is renewing its partnership with Habitat for Humanity International with a donation of $322,500, which will help advance the organization’s mission of building and improving safe and affordable homes across the U.S. City National has donated more than $1 million to Habitat to support affordable homeownership in local communities since the partnership began three years ago.

“When organizations like City National Bank commit to improving access to affordable housing, they can make a huge difference in their communities,” said Julie Laird Davis, vice president of corporate and foundation relations at Habitat for Humanity International. “Thanks to their continued support, Habitat will be able to help more people achieve strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter.”

In this third year of partnership, City National hopes to support affordable housing on an even larger scale, with support to nearly a dozen communities across the U.S.

“We’re honored to continue our partnership with an organization that shares City National’s passion and longstanding commitment to building strong communities,” said Linda Duncombe, executive vice president and chief marketing, product and digital officer of City National Bank, and a board member of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles. “We understand the far-reaching effects of investing in people through Habitat for Humanity, as there are few things more critical than having access to affordable housing.”

City National’s support of Habitat underscores the organization’s commitment to encourage employment and support economic and community development, in addition to strengthening local neighborhoods and providing affordable housing. Helping local Habitat organizations for nearly 20 years on the West Coast, the bank’s projects have included supporting team builds, galas and fundraisers.
