“The spirit of service is taking over Southwest Atlanta this morning as the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project officially kicks off. Starting Monday, thousands of volunteers from across the globe have touched down at Langston Park with a massive goal: building 24 affordable homes in just five days.”
Habitat for Humanity’s move into community development is “a classic example of a nonprofit organization really trying to be responsive to community needs,” said Vincent Reina, urban economics and planning professor at the University of Pennsylvania.
Philanthropists and corporations are invited to co-invest in high-impact, innovative and scalable solutions tailored to the region’s evolving needs.
