BUILD DETAILS
Work schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 – 4:00 with a break for lunch. The affiliate will work to provide lunches and will communicate with the team lead when Care-A-Vanners should prepare their own lunches.
Type of work:

Join North St. Louis County Habitat for Humanity in northern Minnesota’s Iron Range at two adjacent build sites in the city of Virginia. Most work will consist of framing and exterior construction. We look forward to seeing new and returning Care-A-Vanners this summer!

Volunteers will stay at Eveleth Veterans Park Campground about five miles from the build site. Our affiliate is paying upfront campsite fees, but we ask to be reimbursed at $15 per night. Checkout is Saturday, June 20.

Parking location:
Volunteers will stay at Eveleth Veterans Park Campground, which is about 10 minutes from the build site. Campsites are surrounded by pine trees with access to a swimming beach. Each site has a picnic table and campfire ring, and some sites have 50-amp hookups available. Our affiliate is paying camping fees, and six sites have been reserved, but we ask that Care-A-Vanners reimburse our affiliate at $15 per night (the cost per night reflected here) to help us with building cost. Per campground rules, “Dogs, cats, or other pets shall not at any time be permitted to run loose.... No charge to dump at on-site sewage dump station. Contact Campground Manager to inquire about campsite sewage collection service.” The affiliate will communicate with the team lead regarding campsite assignments.
