Impact

Europe, Middle East and Africa

Habitat for Humanity is a global, nonprofit housing organisation. We work across Europe, the Middle East and Africa to help people in poor communities build strong, stable homes and communities.

Together with our volunteers and partners, our efforts have helped more than one million people in more than 25 countries since 2015.

Today, we continue our traditional focus on building, repairing and renovating dwellings. We also deliver other solutions to housing and shelter problems. For example, now, we are a leading provider of technical assistance to microfinance institutions and a major provider of energy efficiency solutions and financial literacy programs. More recently, we have become involved in disaster relief and preparedness.

These new solutions reflect our goal of expanding the ways we can change the housing and shelter system for the better. By doing so, we will help disadvantaged people in poor communities build a better future.

To do this, we are working with a range of partners from governments to corporations to individual philanthropists.

What we do

Habitat for Humanity International builds, rehabilitates and repairs simple, decent houses with the help of homeowners, known as partner families, volunteer labor, and donations of money and materials.
