Family in Kenya

What we do

Europe, Middle East and Africa

“In my professional life, I have seen housing strengthen health, education, families, communities and economies.”
— Ron Terwilliger, Habitat for Humanity International Board of Directors Member and Chair emeritus

We are a global, nonprofit housing organisation with more than 40 years of experience working with people in poor places in over 25 countries throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Since 2015, we have helped more than one million people in this region.

Our experience and geographic reach are unique, as is the range of solutions and strategies we can deliver. Our solutions include advocacy, microfinance products and disaster relief and mitigation.

We work with our funders, donors, fellow faith organisations and people in local communities to help solve their specific housing problems. We also seek to influence the way housing and related shelter issues are assessed, prioritized and funded by local, national and international governments and inter-government forums.

Because the housing poverty challenge is so large, no single organisation can solve it. Because housing problems vary depending on where people live, no single product works everywhere.

This is why we need your help as a funder, a donor or a volunteer.
