Cementos Progreso, a través de su programa HogaRES, se incorpora oficialmente a la iniciativa regional “100 mil pisos para jugar”, impulsada por la Federación Interamericana del Cemento (FICEM) y Hábitat para la Humanidad.
During a milestone year for global volunteering, Habitat for Humanity International is proud to recognize 44 volunteers from 21 countries whose leadership, service and innovation are helping to strengthen communities and advance access to safe, affordable housing.
Housing costs are forcing millions of people around the world into difficult trade-offs, coming at the expense of food, healthcare, financial security and major plans for the future, according to a global research report released today by Habitat for Humanity International. Titled Home at What Cost? and based on nationally representative surveys of 30,000 people across 22 countries, the report reveals that the full cost of housing extends far beyond rent or mortgage payments — it includes what people give up to secure a place to call home.
Latest report from Habitat for Humanity finds 3 in 4 people are cutting back on essentials to afford housing. Concern about extreme weather is highest in Asia-Pacific, and in Nepal, 35% have put off home improvements that would reduce the effects of extreme weather, because of housing costs.
