Made of Many and for All
As Habitat for Humanity commemorates 50 years of impact, our Made of Many and for All exhibit experience invites in-person visitors to explore the story of housing in the United States through the lens of our shared past, present and future.
Through storytelling and interactive learning, this immersive experience is designed to deepen understanding and inspire action toward a future where everyone has a safe, affordable place to call home.
Through this experience, visitors will:
Connect with the people, stories and innovations that have shaped housing and expanded access to housing over the past century.
Question the social, economic and policy forces that influence housing opportunity, and explore how organizations and communities can work together to create change.
Create new ideas, partnerships and pathways for impact by sharing knowledge, learning from promising practices and imagining solutions.
Commit to actions they can take to support, champion and advance affordable housing in their own communities.
Drawing inspiration from the idea of a collage or mosaic, Made of Many and for All explores how lasting change is built through the contributions of many people, many organizations, many policies, many communities and many experiences. As visitors move through the experience, they encounter the history of housing and Habitat for Humanity’s evolution, engage with the realities of today’s housing landscape, and gather in a future-focused space designed to spark conversation, collaboration and new ideas.
Interactive elements help make complex housing challenges tangible, personal and human. The experience is designed to engage Habitat affiliates, volunteers, donors, policymakers, housing practitioners, community leaders and partners across sectors. By connecting individual stories to broader systems and community solutions, Made of Many and for All encourages visitors to consider the role they can play in expanding housing affordability for all people.
