Habitat for Humanity International announces appointment of Liz Satow as senior vice president, International Operations
ATLANTA (Sept. 22, 2026) — Habitat for Humanity International is pleased to advance Liz Satow, Habitat area vice president of Asia-Pacific, to the organization’s newly-created role of senior vice president, International Operations. Since joining Habitat in August 2024, Satow has driven regional strategy across 14 countries, guided governance across 10 country boards and partnered closely with National Directors to strengthen leadership and program quality.
In the new SVP, International Operations role, Satow will provide strategic leadership, stewardship and accountability for our global field network outside the United States and Canada, ensuring strong regional performance, leadership excellence and alignment between Habitat’s global strategy and country-level execution. Reporting to the chief operating officer, she will serve as the primary enterprise leader for area offices, empowering area vice presidents while holding them accountable for impact, organizational health, governance and partnership effectiveness. In addition, she will steward the International Strategy Advisory Council, playing a critical role in shaping Habitat’s global influence, voice and long-term strategic direction.

Satow brings more than 20 years of international development and humanitarian leadership to this expanded role. Before joining Habitat, she served as country director for Plan International Nepal and national/country director for World Vision International Nepal and spent years on World Vision’s Global Rapid Response Team, leading major disaster responses around the world, including the Nepal earthquake, the Haiti earthquake and the Pakistan floods.

Satow holds a Master of Arts degree in International Development from American University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the College of Wooster. She will relocate from Manila to London to take up the role.
