The news was shared with a ceremonial passing of the hammer between Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region and Twin Cities Habitat during the closing ceremony of this year’s weeklong blitz build in Charlotte.
Over the lifetime of the relationship, which began in 1999, Whirlpool Corp. has donated more than 241,000 major home appliances to nearly 197,000 Habitat households across the U.S.
We are grateful to our corporate partners for their continuous support as they offer consumers opportunities to give back and further our efforts to build or improve housing for families across the globe.
Habitat for Humanity announced today that NewAge Products Inc., manufacturers of indoor and outdoor storage, appliance, furniture and accessory solutions for the home, has surpassed a $1 million donated product milestone with Habitat.
“The entire Habitat for Humanity family is praying for Mrs. Carter and President Carter as she enters hospice care at their home. We pray that they continue to experience the blessings of time with their family and with each other, and they draw comfort from knowing people around the world are sending them prayers, love and support.”
Habitat for Humanity is deeply saddened by the passing of former U.S. first lady Rosalynn Carter, who was a champion and strong voice for affordable, decent housing for all.
