The place Sheila called home for nearly 70 years had a leaky roof and an inaccessible bathroom, but she lacked the finances to pay for the repairs herself. Habitat and Lowe’s helped Sheila repair her roof and bathroom, ensuring she can comfortably live in her beloved childhood home.
Lowe’s relationship with Habitat for Humanity International and Women Build has helped to build hundreds of homes in more than 300 communities across the United States.
Lowe’s employees have a longstanding history of participating in Habitat’s Carter Work Project, and they are continuing their enduring support at the 2023 event by helping to build homes and community in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Celebrating 10 years of empowering women, volunteers will build and improve 600 homes during National Women Build Week, May 6-14.
