As a part of the homeownership process, we believe financial education builds a more solid foundation for long-term personal success and helps alleviate any concerns or barriers on the path to homeownership.
To achieve systemic changes, we’re working alongside informal settlement residents, community members and allies to address barriers to adequate housing in four focus areas.
With the help of volunteers and donors like you, we are able to provide shelter assistance, education, training and partnerships to the affected individuals who find themselves in unthinkable situations rebuilding after a disaster strikes.
Habitat for Humanity affiliates across the U.S. are leading Team Up service projects to help people build connections across differences with others. Truman Heritage Habitat’s Team Up project brought an intergenerational group together to renovate two homes in Eastern Jackson County, Missouri.

Habitat’s capacity building program in Puerto Rico, funded by AbbVie, helped support the development of a solar-powered energy hub that provides a safe place where families can shelter during weather-related emergencies.
One year after the historically devastating hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, Habitat for Humanity continues to work with affected communities in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
