Austin Habitat for Humanity will host the 2025 Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project, Habitat for Humanity International announced during the closing ceremony of the 2024 event in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Habitat for Humanity International is pleased to welcome Tim Phillips, an accomplished and recognized legal and risk management leader, as the organization’s new chief legal officer.
Habitat for Humanity teams are readying their response as wildfires continue to rage across Southern California. Initial reports indicate some Habitat homes were destroyed in the region and the organization will continue to conduct assessments as soon as it is safe to do so.
Now that they’ve built their “forever home” with Habitat, Cynthia and Valdemar are focused on building a safe, loving community where their sons can have a bright future.

Earlier this year, the MacArthur Foundation released the results of a survey of U.S. adults conducted to inform the work of the foundation’s How Housing Matters initiative.
With a donation of more than $190,000 to Habitat, Prologis employees will volunteer on May 19 in more than 20 communities around the world.
The company will donate structural framing hardware and reinforced shear walls for new construction and will continue to support Habitat Strong, a program that backs building disaster-resilient homes in weather-sensitive areas.
