Each year since 2007, the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree on display in New York City is milled and donated to Habitat for Humanity to use in construction projects. Lumber from the 2022 tree was used to build a deck and planter boxes at Sarah’s Habitat home in Corinth, New York.
Over the next year, InSinkErator, a Whirlpool Corporation brand, will donate a Badger 1 Model Garbage Disposal for each new Habitat home construction or rehabilitation as well as critical home repair projects including kitchen sink replacements.
The company’s more than $400,000 donation, in addition to volunteer employee engagement, will support Habitat communities in Los Angeles and Pittsburgh.
The five-year commitment will support Habitat’s efforts to help families and communities rebuild.
In six years of partnership, Kum & Go has contributed more than $3.2 million to Habitat for Humanity, granting dollars at the national level, as well as in each state.
To help those who have served our country, The Home Depot Foundation has donated over $3 million to Habitat for Humanity International’s Repair Corps to build, repair or rehabilitate homes in partnership with U.S. veterans and their families.
